词源词根法
来自PIE*kweit，照耀，白色，词源同white。用来指小麦。成熟的小麦是小麦色，可是磨成粉之后小麦粉是白色的，所以词源角度，wheat和white同根，wheat=that which is white。而与white相反的black，实际与阿尔卑斯山脉的Mont Blanc即勃朗峰（the white mountain）中的blanc同源。火焰正旺时是白热，燃烧后的灰烬确是黑色的。=来自PIE*kweit，照耀，白色，词源同white.用来指小麦。
