词根词缀法
词根词缀法：作“时态”时，经由古法语tens来源于拉丁语tempus(时间)；形容词tense来源于拉丁语动词tendere(伸延)的过去分词tensus。=-tens-延伸+-e→拉紧的ten-，拉长，伸长，-s，过去分格词。即拉紧的，引申词义紧张的。
象形记忆法
字母T t - 象形树、脚形，指桌子、支撑物，喻神、工具
T的外形就象一棵树，所以有tree（树）一词。r代表分枝，ee代表叶片。由表示树的t转为支撑物、桌子（table）,又如tent（帐篷）表示前后二棵树（t）支撑起帐篷，中间有窗眼（e）和门（n），如果把后一个t换成一个女人（s）来支撑，那就很紧张（tense）了。
T外形象十字架，因此又常用喻指“神”，如heart（心）是hear（心）加t（神），表示听神的话要靠心（heart），而不是靠耳朵（ear），所以在ear在这里都变音了，不读［ie］。读［a:］，我们祈祷时都会以阿门结束。
t外形还象脚（t），所以还指“脚”或 “工具”，如tool（工具）其四个字母就是各种工具的外形。又如foot（足），stand（站），表示从坐（s）的状态，靠脚（t）站起来，把身体连起来（and）。
谐音记忆法
ten根据拼音想成“疼”，se根据发音想成“死”。（你妈妈说头疼死了，你是不是很紧张）
