词源记忆法
英语单词asset原本是个法律术语，表示“足以清偿债务的财产”。该单词来自拉丁文ad satis，其中，ad=to，astis=enough，如satisfy（满足），所以该单词的字面意思就是“足够的”。从该单词衍生出古法语单词assez，后有衍生出法语单词asetz，进而衍生出英语单词assets。由于词尾带有-s，往往被人误认为是复数形式，所以在19世纪逆生出asset这一拼写形式，而assets则被看作asset的复数形式。
